My wife and I decided to downsize and move from U. City to South City in 2011. Sandy took the time to learn from us exactly what we were looking for in our new home to limit the amount of time we wasted in our home search. At my request, Sandy initially set up a whirlwind Saturday of many house visits. She was very good at gauging our reactions to the houses we saw initially and quickly started showing us only houses we loved.
On the sale of my old house, she gave us a lot of good advice on preparing our house for sale. She advised us to repaint the exterior window trim (it was brightly colored) and to replace our modernist chandelier in the entry foyer with a very traditional chandelier. I hated the advice and was reluctant to do it, but I did it and she was right. She had other advice that I resisted, but my wife would say to do it and I did it and Sandy was right.
We had a problem with our buyer and their agent. They were not particularly honest. Sandy was a huge help in dealing with the situation. One thing I remember in particular. We had a condition in our basement. We disclosed it completely, including the extent of the condition. Our price reflected the condition. The buyer's inspection highlighted the condition. No surprise. But then the buyers, on the last day of the inspection period, demanded a $30,000 reduction in the price for the condition. It's been some years and I don't recall exactly how she handled it, but Sandy did handle it and at the end of the day we closed on time and without a price reduction.
I have recommended Sandy to several friends, including a co-worker, and they have all been very happy with her services.
